    We arrived! Part 1: Itchy Cotton

    We have arrived! The trip has just begun but so much as already happened… After grabbing groceries we headed over to our special spot beside Cupecoy beach to catch the last bit of the sunset. This is where things took a turn.

    I tried to show off to Emma and picked her a piece of cotton from a cotton plant. Turns out Emma might be allergic. She started getting hives and became very itchy. She’s all good now but she’s going to avoid cotton now.    Read more

    We Arrived! Part 2: Lost Sandal

    While watching the sunset, we looked back and noticed Jordan was missing. Turns out he went down the stairs to Cupecoy beach and lost his sandal in the ocean after the tide pulled it in. We cheered him on from the sidelines and he successfully retrieved his sandal floating away. It was quite the spectacle.

    Mullet Beach

    Started the day off with a walk to Maho Beach and picked up a pair of flip flops for Emma.

    Then we enjoyed the day at Mullet Beach; my favourite beach! Burgers and fries on the beach is hard to beat.

    Pinel Island

    Today we went to Pinel Island. My mom unfortunately had to make 2 trips on the boat because she left her phone in the car, but we had a mango daiquiri waiting for her so she wasn’t too troubled. Happy days!Read more

    Sun Burns & Balcony Candlelight

    Today was a scorcher. We enjoyed the day at Mullet Beach again but were definitely feeling the heat. We needed some Piña coladas to cool us off. Tonight we are hanging out on the balcony with a Fresh Balsam candle burning bright.Read more

    Fat Tony’s & Shark Attack

    Emma and I woke up this morning and started our daily walk to Maho. Funny enough, halfway there we ran into my Mom! So the three of us enjoyed the rest of our walk together. We ended up in Maho where we enjoyed some delicious smoothies. On the way back Emma got attacked by a shark and fought it off. She has the battle scar to prove it. 😉 We celebrated her victory with a breakfast burrito from Fat Tony’s and enjoyed a lovely sit down with Jordan.Read more

    Orient Beach & Baie Rouge

    We spent the day at 2 different beaches.

    Enjoyed reading a book at Orient Beach and ate a lobster/crab sandwich for lunch. We toasted to our great trip and Emma completed her right of passage walking through the naked section; an Owens family tradition.

    Then we finished the day at Rouge beach where we had fun playing in the waves. Jordan found a red heart shaped rock washed up on the shore. The perfect souvenir to remember this trip and our final full day enjoyed at Rouge Beach. Overall a great day!    Read more

    We Love Sint Maarten!

    Today marked our final day in Sint Maarten. We covered a lot of ground in 6 days and I’m so happy we experienced it together. Before heading home we had lunch at the Sunset Bar and watched the planes fly in.
