The flight was gorgeous and smooth. The city is vibrant. The tacos are muy delicioso. The beer is thirst quenching. And I get to hang with my buddy Tim! We even arrived at the hotel at the exact same time. Great start!Read more

After chilling in our pad we took an Uber to the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral. It was built upon the Aztec temple that the Spaniards ruined. There was a mass in session. Meanwhile, Aztec representatives were dancing and clearing people of bad energy outside. It was a wild sight and I think I'll always remember the smell of their sage like incense.

After a delightful breakfast we went for a stroll and came across this monument in a large roundabout known as El Angel. Tons of people were jogging and riding bikes around it and through the town in what appeared to be a loosely organized fashion. Maybe it is a Sunday thing, but they had traffic controllers that would block cars for swathes of people exercising. The status is super cool with lots of symbolic detail and history that you can read here:
