    Manchester to Reus

    With the holiday booked less than 24hrs before flight time, it was a mad dash to get all packed ready and sorted. All too soon our 3am alarms were going off. Kairo stayed asleep while we got showered, dressed and put the bags in the car. Then there was no choice but to wake him for a nappy change and dress.
    Luckily after a cry, he fell asleep in the car before we even hit the motorway. It was smooth sailing all the way to the airport, where we parked in T2 multi storey and headed to jet 2 check in.
    We had the new experience of using the family lane through baggage claim and had to pass Kairo through the body scanner while the pram was searched.
    After a quick nosey in duty free, we grabbed a meal deal then it was time to go to gate. There we took a pic and posted it as a surprise in both our fam chats.
    Once on board Kairo was crying for a feed so we got settled. We were so long taking off however that he'd finished his feed before we got going. I shouldn't have worried though he was a natural flyer and fell asleep for a lot of the journey.
    1hr50mins later we touched down in Reus, unfortunately there was no hit of warmth as we got off the plane as it was raining and thunderstorms. I did however get an unexpected phonecall from nicola who had just watched us get off the plane. Turns out her and Andy had been in Salou for a week and were flying back on our plane!     Arriving at Sol Costa Daurada

    Once we arrived and checked in, first port of call was to the local supermarket for some pepsi max, a large bottle of water and most importantly some milk for my morning brews!
    It was near a McDonald's and we were starving so we popped in lunch. I got a meal deal of 9 spicy nuggets, potato wedges, mini milkybar mcflurry and a Fanta zero for €9. Roy went for his usual big mac meal but this time with a beer!
    By then the sun had come out so it was straight down to the pool. Kairo had a great time splashing about in the baby pool.
    After a quick video call with mum and dad we go ready to head. Kairo had a quick nap on the walk as we walked the prom down to an Indian for tea. Afters we noseyed round some handcrafted markets before heading back.    En savoir plus

    Exploring Salou

    It was a hot morning, usually we would've spent the day sunbathing but it wasn't possible with baby Kairo so instead we fashioned a sunshade and headed out in the pram.
    Because we are that sad people we took a 30 min walk to the Lidl to see how it differs to home. There were some good bargains and we decided that if we came back self catering could be an option.
    There was another supermarket next door that we checked out and then I let Roy and Kairo have a play on the park while I had an iced coffee 😁
    We got back to the hotel for 1pm, ate the sandwiches we put away from breakfast then Kairo had a nosey out on the balcony and tried some of my apple while Roy slept. He was a big fan.
    It was nap time for Kairo then too so I got an hour of peace reading on the balcony. Heaven.
    At 7.30 we went out and explored more of Salou including the main strip    En savoir plus
