Timberwind

After lingering for a while over breakfast at our B&B, we headed out to make the most of our last afternoon in Portland. First we hit the water on Timberland, a schooner built in 1931.

The Portland Schooner Company describes the outing as “A two-hour sail on Casco Bay, the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Maine coast, complete with lighthouses, seals, seabirds and the rugged coastline”

It was a beautiful trip. Nobody narrating but made themselves available for questions. Enjoyed the wind in our face and the sound of the sails flapping in the breeze.

There was also a little jaw flapping by a gal named Michele from Long Island, NY, who befriended us. Her partner Marty stayed back on the cruise ship to read. (He is a librarian.) the woman loves cruising and has been on 156 cruises since 1981. 😳Читать далее
