Had dinner withTank and family on North Shore if Auckland. Sons George & Harry. Wife Kim.
Went to the Aquarium yesterday. Very cool.
Rented a van Sat. Nov 18- Dec.13. Dropping off in Christchurch.
City of Taupo/ Lake Taupo

We took walking self guided tour to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley. A Must See!!!!
Abit expensive $25 each. Volcanoes, Frying Pan Lake. Walked about 3 klicks and took a bus back up. 1 st class Czytaj więcej
Rotorua

Stayed the night with the smell of Sulfer burning our noses. Went soaking in the thermal pools at Rotorua . Rather chili.
Going to drive south an hour or so and stay the night in a B & B.

Waipukuau City of

Stayed at the Holiday campground in Waipukurau. Went to library to print, sign and scan docs back to title company because they spelled something wrong.

Northend of South Island

Stayed at a nice little campground. Cute little stream running through it. Got in around 6:00 pm. Had wine, cheese & crackers.
Met Erin from Auction.com on the ferry.

We had a new minivan delv. to us from Christchurch to Blenham.
We are on our way to Nelson and stopped by a camping park where they film a scene or two from the Hobbit.

We spent the night at the beautiful Pelorus Bridge campground where Peter Jackson shot a scene of the Hobbit. Great kitchen, showers & deck

At Nelson Lake National Park. Ells!!! Big freaking Ells! Some 36” and 80 years old.
Stayed one night. The showers were done. Went to the village and went to a Hostel and took a $2 shower.
Foul Wind to Greymouth

Grey mouth is the Butte or Aberdeen of NZ.
Everyone still has a mullet and wife beater t shirts and eats Big Mac, Coke and frys for breakfast.

Greymouth to Haas

Stayed on the beach last night. Had a fire and spaghetti. Local assholes circled our van at 4:45 am.
Rained all day on our drive.
Wanaka

Stayed in Haast last night with all the Chinese bus loads.
Sue and I had ribeye steaks.
Beautiful drive over the pass the the road was filled with stupid fucking bumper hugging idiots.

Camping at Mossburn

Stayed at a lovely campground in a small simple cabin and worked on Wagon Wheel song. Met a captain on one of the yachts owned by the King of Quatar. Heading for Doubtful Bay for a overnight cruise.

It quit raining just long enough for it to be enjoyable.

Christchurch

Just dropped off the lucky van and picking up Maui motor home to ferry between Christchurch and Auckland.
They charge $7 per 100 km and $5 day.

HW Stop for breakfast on east coast

Stopped for breakfast at Kaikoura. There are limestone caves here which are now closed to earthquakes.
Stayed in our Maui Renault van near the HW near and old bridge. Just putting the wraps on Czytaj więcej

We drove out of town on Old Beach Road. Beautiful long black sand beach. Really fine sand. Tour planes and hell’s looking for whales I guess?
Kailoura NZ

Very cute little beach side town, not to be missed. Rebuilding after 7.8 earthquake in 2016. Known for crayfish and marine mammal watching
Auckland

Just got my temporary passport. Heading to Australia tomorrow.
Going to movie, dinner and and an Open Mike at the Thirsty Dog tonight!
Melborne Austrailia

Eating dinner. Had a four hour flight between Auckland and here. Took an Ambian and slept 3 hours. Went to a music store but couldn’t find a C harp.
Hobart

Galleria Salamanca was the name of our hotel Donna & Carl were our hosts.
Wonderful city. Got. $42 parking ticket!
Boat Harbor

Bought a van for $4000 Auzzie $ which translates to about $2800 USD. 1989 Toyota with 300,000+ miles. Going to put new shocks and tires on it.
