    3 lipca, Belgia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Since we were already staying in Belgium, we didn’t have to travel far for the festival.

We arrived, and you could already tell this was a big one. The backstage artist village was comfy. We had a large area just for us, with multiple dressing rooms and even our own private bathroom.

The food was great, and there was an unlimited dessert menu, so I think I had four in total. It was cool hanging out not only with metal artists. We spent time with the Deftones party, and we were both bummed we couldn’t see each other play since we shared the same time slot. London Grammar and Iggy Pop were also playing, but at the same time, we had to get ready for our set.

During the day, I took several strolls around the festival grounds. We didn’t have long warrior training and set, so we had plenty of time. My dear friend Felicity was there too, tour manager for Amy and the Sniffers. Also, the security guy from the artist village, I knew him from last weekend at Graspop, always good to befriend the security guy!

Sometimes, I wonder if I belong in this world, did I only end up here because of people in the past? But again, I met people this weekend that I only know or will because of me. That’s a nice confirmation.

Chloé and I got ready super early, like everyone else. You could feel the curiosity in the artist village. We looked like weirdos in our blackening and outfits among the other artists.

Luckily, I got to see the headliner, Linkin Park, they started an hour after us. So me, Chloé, and Kai ran to the showers to be ready in time. And it was amazing, the band what was on my wishlists since teen years! I had to get used to her voice at first, but in the end, she absolutely killed it!

Super happy and excited, I went to bed with a little visitor in my bunk. Off to Germany.
