SD 2: Helsinki Veikkaus Arena

I arrived in Helsinki in the morning. Load-in is every day at 9. I’ve been here befor3e, back when it was still called Hartwall Arena, so it was nice to be in a familiar place again.

Today is a concession show with Aniiya from SCM, someone I’ve worked with a few times over the past years. Always good to see familiar faces.

They were arriving around 15:00, so I had some time to help out with a few TM-assisting tasks. The coffee machine had broken, so my job was to go out, buy a new one, and make sure there was coffee for the team.

I didn’t mind the 20-minute walk at all, it gave me a chance to get some sunlight, have a small moment for myself, and grab a coffee at Fazer.

The SCM team arrived. I handed over my boxes and counted everything in with them. They’re always great to work with, and it’s nice to have that kind of connection on tour.

Everything went smoothly, and they set up the stand beautifully. Sales were a bit slow, but at least I got to catch parts of the show.

There’s a bit of tension in the group at the moment, mostly because the tour isn’t very well organized from the promoter’s side. But the crew is really doing their best to make it work.
