• Foothills of Mount Fuji

    Arrived on the night bus into Kofu and took a connecting bus to Kawaguchiko, which is one of 5 lakes on the northern side of Mount Fuji.
    Pouring with rain again, so dropped the bags at the hostel and picked up some umbrellas - ellas ellas, ey ey. Walked to the Mount Fuji visitor center to learn a bit. It is the most climbed mountain in the world, but is only open for a short time every year. Alas for us, we are not able to do it, without being fully self contained, which would involve us buying a load of kit then ditching it.
    After some warming noodles and lots of debate about what to do, we settled on another onsen as the rainy day activity.
    Chilled out for the rest of the afternoon in the hostel. Probably the worst accommodation so far, in terms of facilities and general cleanliness but it was only 2 mins walk from the station.
