Cycle around Lake Kawaguchiko and Fuji

Hired a couple of bikes from our hostel. Took them to the end of the road and found that Hannah's had a wonky back wheel and mine had a broken seat. Swapped them for some new ones and set off for a cycle round the lake. Lovely views and an easy 12 mile ride.
We got back just after mid day so took the bus to the 5th station. Which is the point on Mount Fuji that most people start to climb to the top. No climbing for us, as it is only open to climb a few months of the year.
Took in the views amongst the crowds, then found a sneaky spot higher than everyone but with no one there. Much nicer. We were above the clouds, with only a few distant mountains poking their heads through.
After a few hours we took the bus back down the mountain.Leggi altro
