Climbing Mt Isthmas

Had a fairly leisurely morning doing admin and washing etc till about midday. Then set off for a 30 min drive to the base of Mount Isthmas. Pete and Cathers friend Liam joined us for the trip.
Took about 3 hours to get to the top. With stunning views over lake Wanaka and lake Hawea.
Strong winds over the top, so we only stayed around for 10 mins or so.
The way down was actually much harder on the knees. But took us about 1.5 hours to get back.
Cathers had work starting at 6 ish the next morning, so we had an early night of burgers and How to Train Your Dragon.Read more
