Kingscliff and Burleigh Heads

Said goodbye to our amazing house and after breakfast at the bakery we headed north to Brisbane. As check in was not until 2.00pm we stopped off at a couple of places on the way. Kingscliff benefits from both a beach frontage and an estuary. The estuary is shallow and protected and perfect for families both human and feathered with pelicans swimming in amongst everyone.We walked along a pathway flanked by waterside appartments each with their own access to the water. Had a cooling drink and then went to Burleigh Heads. This area, the Gold Coast has a very different feel, almost American with its road names 1st Avenue 2nd Avenue etc and the built up coastline.From the beach you could look up to Surfers Paradise with its impressive highrise sky line.En savoir plus
