Mary Kathleen

Site of the old Mary Kathleen uranium mine. The abandoned mine is quite spectacular. It was a rough 6km four wheel drive in but well worth the effort. The photos show the deep open-cut mine which is visually spectacular. We then retraced our steps to what is left of the township which once included a cinema, golf course, shops, schools and housing for thousands of people.Read more
