Kagisman, Eastern Türkiye 🇹🇷

Picture this: Miles of steppe (where the dogs can run free), surrounded by hills, snow capped mountains a little further afield, a river running through the valley. That's where we parked up yesterday afternoon and we will stay here until the milk for Mr's tea runs out 😂

Today, the local police came to chat with us, wanting to know where we were from, where we were heading to ... And to have a look inside our truck. We were assured it would be ok for us to stay for a few days and, after exchanging telephone numbers, we were invited to call them, if we needed anything. The kindness and hospitality extended to foreigners here always surprises and amazes us. I'm not sure the same could be said to either of our countries of origin.

Also, now that we're back in Türkiye 🇹🇷, I am enjoying the call for prayer sounding out from the nearby mosque . I did miss that song in Georgia 🇬🇪 and Armenia 🇦🇲Read more
