Arrival to Bacalar

There is not much to say about today. We spent 5 hours in the bus all the way to Bacalar. We meet up here with Czech friends David & Gabi and also Flo’s sister Marie and her boyfriend Luca. We went for a swim in the lake and ended up our day in city center for dinner.

Bacalar is beautiful lagoon close to Guatemala / Belize border. The lake is the second biggest freshwater lake in whole Mexico. The lake has been created due to several underground rivers and 7 cenotes which created different shades of blue. The lagoon is sometimes called 7 colors lagoon.Read more
