• Arrival to Oaxaca

    We said goodbye to our jungle hotel in Tulum and took a direct bus to Cancun Airport. After 2 hours bus we arrived and after some waiting time and tasty lunch we took a flight to Oaxaca. Oaxaca is a smaller city with around 260 thousands of people and is well known as food capital of Mexico.

    After dropping our bags we immediately left to the city. We stopped in amazing rooftop bar / cafe AMA with nice drinks and views of the town and nearby mountains. In the evening we wanted to try some nicer local food and walked to the restaurant Zandunga Sabor Istmeño ~ restaurant which is already in Michelin Guide Book and waiting for its first star. Service, drinks and food were excellent and we liked the big sharing plate with different starters as long as the main courses we ordered. The restaurant was also surprisingly not that expensive, we paid around 85€ for 4 people for everything including tip. Oaxaca is very lovely and lively city with music everywhere, cozy shops and nice architecture.
