The night was not good … lot of noise and light and maybe a bit of excitement. I woke up before alarm clock, packed my bags and went down to breakfast. The breakfast was a disaster 🙈 there were cockroaches everywhere and non of the food looked tasty so I ate one egg and toast with peanut butter and left as quickly as possible 🤣.

8:30 my crew with guide George arrived (30 minutes late) and then we departed on 4 hour long journey to Lemosho gate, the start of the track. We stopped on the way in small place to get some more snacks and coffee.

The way to the gate was super beautiful 🤩 wild rainforest, small rivers, all shades of green. By the gate I realized how many people were there 😮 I would say at least 50 tourists and maybe 400 locals 😮🙈. I got a very strange lunch served and I was immediately regretting to choosing this agency or the budget package who knows but the lunch from all the other agencies was great and fresh cooked whereas I got weird stuff from bakery 😆 nothing nutritious. I ate maybe a third and returned the rest 🙈.

After the registration we took pictures by the Lemosho gate sign and then it was finally time to hike 🤩. According to sign 4 hours to go. During the way we saw some monkeys and wild flowers. My guide kept telling me to slow down and take break. I think I am maybe more fit then him 🤣🤣🤣. At some point it started to rain and we continued walking. To my surprise I reached at 15:15 (after 1,5 hours of walk) the camp Mti Mkubwa. At the register I realized I was the first tourist to arrive 😮😅

The campsite is huge and then in couple of hours all the porters set up hundreds of tents ⛺️, shower tents, toilet tents and kitchen and dinning rooms 😅😅.

I was surprised with warm water to wash myself as well as tea and popcorn to snack. I also sit with guys in kitchen tent and had a chat with them about football and Bayern Munich 😆. For dinner soup, salad, fish & chips and veggie stew was served. My guide kept pushing me to drink more and eat more until i felt like I gonna explode 😬 I definitely wont follow his instructions all the time. After dinner we sat down, did the medical check and discussed the plan for tomorrow. It was dark and cold super fast 🙈 I am already not looking forward to these freezing nights in the tent 🥶. Its time to sleep, wake up call is already 5:30 😫
