The Meseta

The Meseta is the long central plateau of the Camino between Burgos and León. It’s not the hardest physically, but many pilgrims say it’s the most challenging mentally. Long open tracks, huge skies, little shade, and hours alone with your thoughts.
But that’s also what makes it special. Life becomes simple: walk, eat, rest, repeat. The rhythm slows you down and the conversations with fellow pilgrims often become deeper and more meaningful.
