We spent our last night's in Cambodia on the smaller neighbouring Island of Koh Rong Sanloem, despite being smaller and less developed overall the main beach has a few decent resorts, bars and restaurants, a good base to explore some of the untamed and untouched beaches which are within walking distance (albeit through the sweaty jungle). We met up with some friends we'd made up in Siem Reap and enjoyed some good food, swimming and beach activities, the only Brit (James) managed to reign supreme at international Petanque (boules for you Brits), we were a Brit, French, Belgian, Polish, Russian, German and a pair of Chileans, quite the international gathering.
The islands of Koh Rong are a lot slower pace than Thailand, very beautiful and relaxed, but with no ATM and a ferry schedule which is more of a guideline. They can be a logistical headache. Still, a wonderful end to our time in Cambodia, back to the Capital for some travel admin before we depart for Australia 🇦🇺もっと詳しく
