Wind and Rain

Yesterday’s 60-ish mile ride began with a strong tailwind pushing us out of Walla Walla up 40 miles of gentle climbing. The last 20 miles were a slog through a mixture of strong headwiinds, crosswinds and an occasional tailwind. The instant we arrived at the County Fairgrounds at Pomeroy, it started POURING rain. So we slept on a concrete pad under a shed roof.
Highlights included more magical sheep in the grass, beautiful green and brown wheat fields and visiting with friendly people along the way.
Today was a short ride to. Lewiston where, once again, it poured rain on our arrival, flossing the streets downtown. We also heard thunder and saw lightning, so we are in a motel tonight.
Richard suggested sushi for dinner which was quite tasty. Good times!Les mer
