    The Canadian Embassy to Iceland (Sendiráð af Kanada til Ísland) was nearby (Túngata 14), so he quickly headed there to register with the Canadian authorities in case he was hurt or had his passport stolen. Luckily, there were no travel advisories for Iceland at the time. He also familiarized himself with Canadian import rules, by picking up the pamphlet I Declare.
