    A taste of Mexico

    2019年10月22日, アメリカ ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We left Three Rivers early this morning, as we had a tough day ahead of us. It started with an easy rolling and kind of flat road for the first 45km. We passed orange, lemon and olive tree fields which gave us a first taste of Mexican agriculture. Plus, it was about 34°C hot and the area was really dry. This is how we imagine the North of Mexico - let's verify later on in the trip.
We then turned East into the Sierras and climbed the first pass of the day. The road passed several ranches, some of them with palm trees and cactuses in their garden. We also got reminded of Washington and Oregon again: people seem to use street signs for their shooting training.
After an uphill comes a downhill, so we descended into Springhill, had some lunch and went on on Highway 190. It led up a canyon - absolutely beautiful, but totally tough. As with already 80km in our legs, a 25km climb with 1200 meters elevation gain was waiting for us. In the end, we had 105km and 2167m climb on the computer and are now deadly tired.
