Call that rain?!

An overcast day so we stayed on site and rain started about mid afternoon but it was a poor show I'd say. A mere sprinkling, so I went for a walk around the perimeter of the site with no need for a coat. Quite a variety of standards of accommodation on the site. There are permanent tent set-ups in some areas, which make it look a bit like an abandoned shantytown. The photographs don't show it so much. Old (very old) caravans in places, chalets of differing standards and the lovely white tents on platforms, which are waiting for fairweather inhabitants.
There's some winter
maintenance work ongoing and they're waiting for permission to prune the trees as it's a protected area.
The motorhome areas are where the most ostentatious people are. Our van looks dwarfed by some of the vehicles here.Leer más
