Harvey 15 - Off to Aberystwyth

John gave Steve the sceptre he'd made for him, and he was over the moon with it. He organises and comperes the events for steampunk.wales at Portmeirion and Aberystwyth. We spent most of the day at the steam railway shed with a stroll into town to look at knitting wool. Most people didn't bat an eyelid at our costumes, though one guy told John "you look bloody fabulous!".
Monique Holllinshead gave an interesting talk about the costumes she makes and the thought process behind them. She's an experienced theatrical costume maker.
We both did some drawing this evening. It gets pretty cold in the van at nightime.Read more
