Started my birthday with a flight - always risky incase of delays, which there was but only an hour 😅 we got stuck straight into Gdansk with an amazing vegan lunch and exploring the Old Town. Had some amazing cocktails (mocktails) from Lucy's recommendation and played (badly) in the arcade 🕹️ I was craving bubble tea and Pierogis and we got both! Walking around Old Town

The sun came out ☀️ started the day with a walking tour around Old Town - takeaway is they really like huge clocks here 🕰️ afterwards we went for brunch at a lovely vegan restaurant (which we might go back to haha) called Manner68 😋 the toy museum was near by which was super cute! We had a stroll around, went to the shopping centre (Jonny's least fave) then went back for a swim as our apartment randomly has a pool 😍 dinner was super cool - a container food court for Japanese pancakes, then we had some cocktails. I've never had an alcoholic Shirley temple but the 0% version was delicious 🍒Read more

Sopot 🌊

Starting the day with a cat cafe is the best 😺😺 Kotka cat cafe had all the sweet cats, and the nearby park was lovely 🌳 It was on the way to Sopot where we went next, to the beach 🌊 as usual for Poland we had some delicious food before playing in the arcade, although we couldn't get on the pinball machine as an old man was hogging it 😂🕹️ the beach was cute, we stopped at a cafe on the way home and made dinner in our apartment as we were both tired 💤Read more

Museum of the second world war

We had a slower start today as we'd done wayyyy too much off the back of having colds! The museum of the second world war took a few hours & is definitely worth a visit - although it was obviously sad, it was super interesting. We missed a massive rain shower while we were inside so we came out to get ramen at a street food court & had a brew in the sun ☀️ after a swim at the apartment building, we went to a dry bar (the 0% sparkling rose was delicious) & for dinner back in our fave vegan restaurant Manner68 😋 our flight home is at a good time so one full day left 🎉Read more

Westerplatte

Final day 🥲 our flights were excellent so we had the whole day on Monday and the weather was beautiful ☀️ lots of museums are free on certain Mondays in Gdansk but as it was so lovely we decided to spend the day outside and sailed on the Galleon ship to the war memorial at Westerplatte. It's where the first shot of WW2 was fired O: touristy but it was a really interesting day and there was a polish singer on the journey back! We had our final polish vegan lunch and a quick visit to Artus court museum as it was free that day - very opulent! Gorgeous sunset before our flight home 🌇Read more
