After an early start (3.30am) we arrived in Wroclaw about 11.30am and headed straight to get vegan pierogi (of course) 😋 🥟 followed by a relaxed day in the University botanical gardens (which were gorgeous!) before check in, it was a warm one ☀️ Our apartment is very cute and right by the river.

We had a Polish traditional dinner (but made vegan) and did some late night shopping 🥳 last stop was the old soviet neon signs before bed. Lovely first day! (Delayed posting as I forgot when we arrived!)Read more

Another warm one, we went for a scrambled tofu breakfast at Vega (definitely planning to head back on Monday 😋) We climbed the 240 steps to the witches bridge and saw the cute witches/gnomes up there and got blown away. After a matcha break we headed to the Hydropolis which was a museum about water, very cool, Jonny got wet trying to dodge the jets on the way out 😂 continuing the water theme we went to a gorgeous spa for a chilled evening - best evening activity ever!Read more

Lil day trip on Saturday to Poznan, the train there was a palava as a lady had stolen our pre-booked seat, which was perplexing as you can't actually go on the train without a pre-booked seat so unsure where hers was.😂 After she got up she spent most of the journey staring at us 👻🙅🏻

We chose a rainy day by mistake so we got an umbrella from Dealz (our fave, Poundland in Poland) for £5 (just like Poundland at home haha) and got on with exploring 😍 delicious avocado tofu bagel for lunch, then a cafe with spiders and lizards in, then we went to the enigma museum (see the hilarious creation it made for us for some reason 😂)

Gorgeous day looking around the town square, we missed the mechanical goats by 3 minutes because we didn't realise they were part of a clock 🙈 scooted to the fancy shopping centre and generally pootled. Ended with our fave, vegan pasta and a lovely sunset (and the train home was a much nicer experience !) 🍝⛅Read more

The lamplighter 💡

A chilled day pottering around Wroclaw, the sun came back out although it was cooler ❤️ we had a delicious pancake breakfast before a stroll into Rynek (market square). We got the tram to the park containing the Japanese gardens and stopped for lunch in front of the Centennial Hall fountain for ages, it blasted music for some reason 😂

After scooting around the park, we did some more gnome spotting and went home for a rest.

The evening activity was a drink then to see the lamplighter who lights 401 gas lamps every night with tourists trailing after him! Very fun, dinner was a delicious vegan ramen 😋😋Read more

Final morning 🥲

We had a 1.50pm leaving flight so made the most of it by having a tasty breakfast back at our fave, Vega 🌱, then did our obligatory snack shopping for our works, and posted our postcards (cute!)

One final brew (for me anyway, they gave Jonny normal milk & he was too polite to send it back 💀) on a river based coffee shop, then off to our flight. I made a polish friend on the way back who worked in Tiverton! Then we got trapped on our plane on the Bristol runway for 45 minutes as the rain was too heavy for take off, classic England 😅 loveliest trip!Read more
