Dinner

After my drive and my glass of wine, I rested in the room for a while. Dinner was at 7pm, but the bell rang closer to.6:45pm.

Tonight, the menu was as follows:

Antipasto - roasted peppers filled with tuna, anchovies, and capers. Cheeses, an eggplant relish, and olives. Also, a salad with the lettuce we picked this morning. (I didn't really help!)

Pasta - pasta "alla chitarra" with a brown sauce and maybe chicken.

Secondo - a place of spicy sausage with broccoli rabe.

Amaro and dessert.- grappa, made here of course! Biscotti with fennel.

Again, we watched Wheel of Fortune during dinner. Then the news with all the US election stuff. The Italians are worried, too. Well, some of them, at least... Maria wanted to watch a show with young singers (8 to 14 year olds). It was interesting and the singers were very good. I didn't really understand the judging process. After the first round, I excused my self, and went to bed. I watched the end of "Hunger Games" before falling asleep. Czytaj więcej
