Cafe Maspero

From the shoe store we walked towards the river. It was so much nicer and quieter. At one point there was a jazz band playing. More like I remembered from years ago. We were able to enjoy the architecture and ambiance.

Just as we were passing a restaurant that served muffalettas, I realized that I was hungry. We ended up going straight to that restaurant--Cafe Maspero.

I had a muffaletta, of course, and a hurricane. Heather had red beans and rice along with fried chicken and andoullie sausage. We split an order of fried pickles, too. It was all really good and we were stuffed. Good thing we had a few hours before dinner!Leggi altro
