• Volcán de San Antonio

    February 19 in Spain ⋅ 🌬 63 °F

La Palma island had a more tropical feel yet weather was mild enough to where you still wanted to wear something other than shorts and a t-shirt.
Our first adventure was to hop and city bus and head 45 min south towards the southern tip of the island to a town called Fuencaliente. This town is known for its coastal views and volcano visitors center. They volcano "San Antonio" has a crater that has been dormant for 300 years. So the city built a tourist attraction around it which allows you to walk the ridgeline of the crater. We hung out here and the town for about 2 hours. This place is located high up in the mountains with strong wind breezes around the crater (see video).
After the visit here, we had another 45 min or so until the next bus came around, so we walked around the small town. Very quaint, clean and hilly. Inclines everywhere.
