    After the boys have left I took the bus to the western side of the island for a bike tour. My host Adrian welcomed me friendly but I didn't know that I have to stay alone in his house. (Felt a bit lonely)
    Today I visited the national park to go to the monkey beach. Even the jungle trail was closed due to falling trees I took it and was rewarded with a million mosquito bites.😬

    Hello Theresa and Flo. I am glad we could make it to meet up. 😇
    Today I hiked up the Penang Hill.
    Luckily no mosquito bites today but instead wild dogs attacked me.
    They are serious with the warning sign "beware of dogs"😬. Thank you to the guy from Switzerland who tried to keep the pack away from me. 🙏

    After an amazing sunrise I left Langkawi going to Koh Lipe. Entry via longtail boat stunning beaches are waiting for me. 🤗
    And....the dogs are friendly😂🤣😅

    Ko Phi Phi

    Short term decisions are often the best. I decided not to go back to Malaysia and to spend more time in Thailand to meet my friend Susanne. I took a speed boat and I literally jumped to ko phi phi Island. 🚤 😂🤣😅
    After one week staying in hostels I can now share a room in a hotel for which I don't have to pay👍
    The first time in my holiday I relax and do nothing.
    It seems my battery was empty 😬
    But I am looking forward to go to Vietnam on Thursday for new adventures.

    Good morning Vietnam

    What an exhausting travel day....😵
    Again it has been confirmed that wherever I go I will always have trouble with my flights.
    After my first flight from Krabi to Bangkok was delayed I had no chance to get the connection to Hanoi. Of course I had to buy a new (expensive) ticket to be in Hanoi on time before my tour is starting the next day.

    Anyway, I just arrived and Trevor Mc Carty, a crazy guy from Ireland living in Australia was already waiting for me. I met him in Africa last year where we spent two weeks together with Nomad. He was calling me one week ago that he will also join me on my trip through Vietnam. What a surprise.😀

    Fascinating what different noises people can make while they are sleeping. It was like a battle who makes the most eccentric sound.🙉
    Not bearable without ear plugs....
    This evening I take a overnight train to Sapa.

    I am curious to meet my new roomates.🤪

    Sapa

    I did my long-desired two day trekking tour surrounded by rice paddies and bamboo plants.😊

    I stayed the night at locals in a 15 mattress dormitory. 😂 And I met nice people on this trip.
    Today it is Christmas Eve and I have to spend the night in a train again to go back to Hanoi.
    It seems my Christmas party will be tomorrow.

    What a busy, noisy city. 🤬
    Every time when I survived crossing a crossroad I sent a hurried prayer to heaven. 🤗
    Better to leave tomorrow before I get a tinnitus or die caused by an accident. 😂

    On the other hand it is amusing to see what you can carry on a scooter....😂🤣😅

    Today I skipped the city tour for a nice run around the lake. I didn't feel like crowded places. 🤯

    Mekong delta

    Can Tho is the best city I visited in Vietnam. Much cleaner and quiet and the people are more friendly as in the other cities I have been before.
    I was looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery of Mekong delta but it didn't come up to my expectations. The whole river looks like a garbage dump. They use plastic for everything. Bottles, bags, mugs....and all of this goes into the ocean. 😪
    I can't imagine when people are so proud of their homemade natural products and food (sea food) how they can litter so much?!
    And when I see the animals locked up in small cages I rapidly forget to get the same vegetarian dish every day.
    If you can oversee the bad things happens here Mekong delta could be a nice place. The floating market was interesting to see and the bike tour beside the river made me feeling better. 😇

    Wow, Bangkok has changed a lot in 11 years. Less smog, more clean, bigger cars and even though the tuck tucks are better. 👍
    And I found this nice bar in Khao San road where I have been on my first visit. The last two days I treated myself to a massage before I go back.
    Sitting relaxed in the plain to Dubai right now. 😑
