The bad news was driving through what is reportedly the worst lovebug season in years coupled with a severe thunderstorm that forced us to exit I-75 in Tifton, Georgia and wait it out in the Tifton Mall parking lot.

The good news was that it rained so hard, that honestly, there was not a single lovebug left on the coach when we arrived south of Macon for the night.Read more

Entegra Rally

Arrived for the big 3-day rally that starts tomorrow with over 200 Entegra coaches attending. Social, education and free minor repairs. Speaking of which we have an appointment Wednesday with Mr Appliance to see why our refrigerator ain’t cooling’. Lost a fair amount of food but have salvaged the frozen stuff now sitting in a freezer here at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. Otherwise no broken bones or side mirrors. Ole’Read more

Weekend in Amish Country

We’re hanging out in the Entegra factory parking lot expecting the refrigerator to be repaired Monday. In the meantime we are re-exploring Northern Indiana’s Amish area. Elkhart, Middlebury, and Shipshewana, all about 45 minutes east of South Bend.

The Entegra Rally ended Friday. Reconnected with old Entegra friends and made a few new ones. Entegra puts on a great show with a combination of learning, eating and partying. 217 coaches in attendance.

Glad we always carry formal wear in our motorhome. You never know when a campground black tie event will break out!Read more

Refrigerator fixed (we think) and on to Spartan Motors for our previously scheduled service appointment. Will be here a couple of days and visit Lansing, Battle Creek and Grand Rapids before heading to Traverse City for the holiday weekend. Traveler Looks good, how were the gizzards? I went to Dr Schwartz today and he chewed me out. I hadn’t been back to see him in over a year, I blamed you. He put me back on glaucoma drops and I need to come back in three months. Also went to my dermatologist this morning and had some pre-cancerous spots frozen off and a biopsy on one. Spot. Other than that, nice day, but hot.

While having coach inspected, a few minor repairs done & new Michelin steer tires installed, we visited Lansing, Battle Creek & Grand Rapids over the last few days.
TravelerLooks good...especially Holly in the convertible....how’s the weather...went out for dinner with Friberg’s and Daugherty’s last night for Italian-diet challenge.

Memorial Day Weekend

Spent the holiday weekend in Traverse City and Suttons Bay, Michigan with 2 of my cousins and some friends. Cherry trees were in bloom and the bloody mary’s were ample....

A couple of days at a real nice city park right on the St. Mary’s River & Lake Huron, about a mile from the Soo Locks which are a great visit! The Cabellas Cup Fishing Finals were taking place right in front of our campsite and the 1000 foot Lakers were right in front of us!Read more
