I woke up Saturday with a lovely cold and really felt like doing nothing. But I was in London so that was really not an option. Ty went out and bought me cold meds and then we were off to Borough Market. This market is filled with amazing food vendors, produce and more. From our hotel it was lovely 20 minute walk.
We had tickets to the Shakespeare Globe theatre at 2pm so we decided to stay in the Southwark area. We walked the Millenium bridge to St.Pauls cathedral and wandering that area for a while before finding a quaint coffee shop before the show.
The Globe theatre has cheaper standing tickets that were not covered but Ty had said I would want a seat that was covered in case it rained. I was not happy to pay the seated price until the sky opened up at 2:10pm and rained for a good hour. The Globe theatre is a replica of the original which means the seats are wood and very uncomfortable even with the extra padding seats. BUT the play was delightful and really good so you forgot the numbing in your ass.
That evening we went to a lovely restaurant over looking Tower Bridge.Læs mere
