Pushing Away from Puntarenas

Had a nice afternoon excursion filled with tourist trap stops (it was a low cost choice). Satisfied for the serendipity of picking an afternoon excursion as it turned out to be much cooler than the morning had been. Tour guide was good and I learned a bit about Costa Rica. Didn’t see any of their famous biscuits crocodiles or snakes, but did see a howler monkey from the bus.

No sail away pictures. It’s only 6:45p but pitch black after sunset. As we are so close the equators, the variation of sunset time throughout the year is less than an hour (a little less than at home). I can only see distant lights on shore or from ships in the gulf from my perch at the Sunset Bar (my favorite evening spot if you haven’t noticed).Read more
