    Stopped at Ferry Park Maclean to catch up with our friends Robert and Robin Burns before heading to Iluka Riverside Tourist Park for the next three days.

    Our first stop Iluka.
    We are staying at the Riverside Tourist Park where we plan to stay for the next three days, once we were set up and settled, it was time to celebrate our retirement, we cracked open a bottle of champagne 🍾 that we received as a wedding gift.
    The park van site was a bugger to get into, Phil had to jack knife the van to get it in place!

    Went for a drive around the Maclean area, stopped under the old and new Harwood Bridge for a photo, we then went to Maclean Lookout Reserve for some more photos before heading to Brooms Head

    Stopped at the New Italy Museum for a look, it's nothing special.
    While we were there we had some beef jerky and burgers for lunch, quite yummy.

    Darlington Beach Parks & Resort

    Today we are staying at Darlington Beach Parks & Resort for the next three nights when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities, setup was quicker and we were greeted by wildlife just chilling around the park.Read more

    Went for a walk along Coffs Harbour Jetty. Jetty takes you up to Muttonbird Island.

    The Jetty is located in the middle of the Coffs Harbour International Marina.

    SAWTELL - Bonville Head Lookout

    It's such a gorgeous and easily accessible spot.
    A beautiful lookout for whale watching.
    Steps lead down to Sawtell Beach to the north and the ocean pool to the south.

    Old Boardwalk

    Beautiful, scenic 2km (return) boardwalk that goes through the mangroves to the beach, with local banksias and fauna growing to one side.
    At low tide, you can also walk down to the creek.

    Newell Falls

    The Newell Falls is one of several waterfalls right beside the road as you drive along 'Waterfall Way' between Dorrigo and Bellingen.
    Being right next to the road, it is an impressive sight, and even though there hadn't been any serious, heavy rain for a couple of weeks when we drove past, there was still a torrent of water coming down.
    There is a small layover area for cars to pull over if you want to take a closer look.    Read more

    Rainforest Skywalk - Dorrigo

    The rainforest skywalk is a short walk from the visitor centre that leads to a straight cantilevered walkway that winds through the trees and ends at a lookout.
    The stroll through the trees is beautiful and great for bird spotting, and the views of the forested hills and valleys from the lookout platform are impressive.Read more

    Dangar Falls

    Located 2 km out of Dorrigo on a winding road through the rainforest, is Dangar Falls.
    There is a viewing platform just near the car park, or you can take a walk down to see the bottom of the falls.
    The falls are picturesque and are a popular photographic subject.

    Today we are staying at Crescent Head caravan park for the week, not impressed, I feel the park is very over crowded.
    Surrounding areas are very pretty.
