  • Pulpit Rock

    22. juni 2023, Tasman Sea ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

A unique and beautiful large rock formation carved out of the side of the cliff, with breathtaking views of the ocean. I was lucky enough to capture these Black Cockatoos.

  • Boyds Tower

    22. juni 2023, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Fascinating place to visit and well worth going just to see the architecture of the place, let alone the views back towards Eden. Amazing story about this lighthouse that never was. The structure was not commissioned as a lighthouse, and the building work stopped in 1847. The tower was used as a whale-watching platform.Les mer

  • Tura Beach Rockpool

    28. juni 2023, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Fantastic walk, with many “lookouts” with very different views showcasing the landscape and rock formations. But once you get there, the rock pool itself is not swimmable and hard to reach. I think the time of year plays a part in when these rock pools are full. They need the waves crashing over the rocks.Les mer

  • Lake Entrance

    30. juni 2023, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

Arrived at Lake Entrance after a long slow drive due to the road conditions, this will be our home for the next week. The setup was relatively quick. There is a marine wind warning, and the annex will not be going up. Replenish our supplies. Look forward to exploring tomorrow. 😊Les mer

  • Stony Creek Trestle Bridge

    1. juli 2023, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

    The Stony Creek Trestle
    Bridge was built in 1916
    when the existing rail line
    from Melbourne to
    Bairnsdale was extended to
Orbost. This 97-kilometre extension through rugged terrain was reputed to have been the most difficult rail project undertaken in Victoria.
    The bridge remained in
service for over 60 years up
    until a bushfire damaged it
    in 1980. The last train
    crossed the bridge in 1988.
At 247 metres long and 20
    metres high, the bridge is
    the largest standing bridge
of its kind in the state.
    Built of red ironbark and
grey box timber, it is a fine
    example of the early
    engineering skills that made
    do with the resources and
    materials found on site.
