We saw lots of mummies and artifacts from Ancient Egypt, some of the human remains were over 5500 years old! It was very cool to see how the Egyptians preserved their dead.
We saw lots of paintings, prints and mosaics from many different times in history. From Ancient Egyptian beaded mosaics to Japanese paintings to Peter Rabbit prints.
The museum had a vast collection of jewelery from many ancient civilizations. Jewelery was used to show social status, as currency and often buried with the dead to aid them in the afterlife.
We went for a walk around some of the famous landmarks of London. We saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Camden Markets which were all very cool. It was a nice way to finish our time on holiday.
Farewell London, we absolutely loved our trip and we are sad that it's coming to an end, but at the same time we miss the comforts of home and it will be nice to return. See you soon New Zealand!
Feeling very sleepy already!
We are waiting in Melbourne now for our last flight of the trip! We're excited to be back in NZ and have a hot shower and a long sleep 😴
