A long, hard trailering slog with multiple vicious thunderstorms, buckling roads and an adverse time change. The Holiday Inn Express Medina, OH has a cement parking area beside it for us. Like yesterday, they were full so glad we had reservations and pay $10 extra for the privilege of cancelling within 24h of 4pm. The rig seemed to prefer 60-62 MPH so that's what we went. We finally came around and ripped out the entire blackwater gravity toilet, overboard and deck plumbing, Y-valve, deck pumpout fixture and replaced it with a 9 inch fold down cleat. Now we have a midship cleat on the starboard side as well as the port. All the engine and 12v rigging runs just under the catwalk so I understand why the factory doesn't

do it. But with big fenders fore and aft and a fast midcleat secured you get control of the boat while docking. Also, I figure no one will stick a sewage pumpout hose down the new cleat.Leer más
