Great name for a Quebec village, don't you think? Flower pots hang from antique streetlights everywhere. We secured our 'mooring' along the wall before 2PM and ended up right in front of a town gazebo that offers free live music band trio each Wed evening in July, what luck! This is the epitome of the difference in cruising the back country in your own boat with total freedom. I hope the video of John Denver's”'Country Roads, Take me Home" in French is a first for you as it was for us.

Corillian Lock has a huge 700 ton guillotine instead of a gate. Archimedes would be surprised. Very impressive!

There was an air-conditioned private coin laundry on the Canal a few hundred feet away from our mooring (oddly enough, considering all the expensive taverns near it). We did a load of laundry for less than the cost of a single glass of wine at those lovely joints (we take what we can get when its close and cheap).
Pics are really hard and slow to upload, even with Star link, where I run out of priority data plus Verizon with a 2GB limit per day on each of two phones on Mobile Hotspot.

What Broke:
The freshwater pump function died two weeks ago. It's such a pain to remove everything in that huge cabinet plus go spelunking into the bilge spaces with everything in the aisle until I can get a fix (avg 7-10 days) it's not worth it. So we have six gallon water jugs to re-fill on the dock and toss each after bout two weeks of refills.

The Garmin Canada Lake-Vu chip went blank back at Hurst Marina. The Parts Manager had one in stock and claimed that if a Garmin SD card for Canada Lakes was bought in the US, it would not include all Canada data, and if it was bought in Canada, it would not include all Canada data, but in different areas. I gave him a look that enticed him to bring his SD card to the boat to install it himself , and BAM! we have no longer fallen off the face of the earth. He warned me that when the Garmin Off the Face of the Earth Feature (NOT a bug) next appears, simply swap back to my original US card. Who Knew?Okumaya devam et
