Headed home day 6 & 7

Lots of slow moving and careful maneuvers at 55-60 MPH on washboard roads with lots of surprises. Mostly an interstate with NO shoulders on either side. Slow and careful is the way to go. If we find a truck plaza before we need one, we take it...no way to know how far the next one is. AI has no idea and is always WRONG about this. I am NOT impressed that AI has no idea where the next truck plaza is when its been there for over ten years!
We plan and pay for hotels based on satellite inspections of the hotel parking lot spaces. Some are shockingly full before the 3PM Earliest Check-in Time and some are not. But its miserable to have no parking on arrival, so we arrive early and leave very early. Making 55-60 to at most 65 MPH gives us the most confidence re safety and is working great. If we weren't retired that would affect travel plans.Leia mais
