15.01 Day 121 . . . Nipples

Having made an earlier promise to help when possible - and having opened our eyes at 9am dragging myself and Tre out of bed at 10am, we joined Hannah our lovely landlady outside at 1015am to help her with a log delivery she had received the day before. The remaining mountain of logs actually reduced quite quickly with the three of us loading two carts and taking them to Hannahs stores. After about four runs back and forth with both wagons, the mountain had vanished. Both of us had really enjoyed being outside in the sunshine doing some manual labour . . . it was still particularly fresh temperature wise!
We finished up about 1130-midday and returned inside having said our goodbyes to Hannah. Tre cracked on with some more washing while I took a leisurely read of some social media.
A short while later Tre started on the evening meal prep and I shot upstairs to grab a shower. I hadn’t even got into my birthday suit before I heard a scream from downstairs . . . . “Andy can you come down quickly - the pork has got nipples!”
Giggling to myself I returned downstairs to find Tre standing as far as she could away from the piece of pork on the kitchen counter, as if it was about to launch and attack her. After a quick examination I concurred - yep the joint had nipples . . . teats. Not something you often see in the UK on a Sainsburys joint. With the aid of a very dull knife I attempted (hacked) at the joint to remove the offending articles. Once removed Tre returned across the room to continue her prep while I scurried upstairs for my happy birthday shower.
The afternoon weather took a turn for the worse and the rain started. We settled in for a film on the sofa.
Evening meal time arrived and the pork belly arrived (minus bits), gloriously lovely and cheesy cauliflower cheese with smashed potatoes, smuvvvered in garlic.
Rubbish TV on the sofa was the order of the evening and a not too late bed time . . . . tomorrow is a big day!!Read more
