Sukhothai

The ruins in Sukhothai are impressive to look and wander around with a bicycle as the complex is vast. Probably the best in Thailand, Sukhothai was the short lived capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom from the 13th - 14th century after which the kingdom of Ayutthaya in the south invaded and wrested control. With regards to the ruins Ayutthaya can be seen as Sukhothai's little sister, as with Sukhothai the remains seemed to better preserved and the focal point being a larger surface densely littered with ruins.
