The Dubai pickup

We were starting this year's trip with an experiment. Kiran would fly alone to Dubai from France, and I would meet up with him there. He was all of 11 years old, so there were some nerves before the trip. Esp with the US waging war in the nearby Strait against Iran, I was nervous too.

Luckily, the flights went well and we met in Dubai to complete the Papa-Kiki crystal again! There was much to catch up on: missed hugs, gifts and stories untold. It was 45⁰ C outside, so we spent the next day just roaming around the mall, taking in the sights and witnessing the utterly ridiculous phenomenon that is Dubai.
