Had a busy night last night with it being post formal so everyone was coming to buy their formal portraits. After work Jackson went to the crew bar for a bit but I just passed out.
Today we are just getting off for Shawarmas again. We are at Mundo Kebab. We’ve been here before and really liked the shawarmas last night. Then we’re headed back to the ship for Jackson to start work at 3pm. I start work at 5:15pm so after he leaves it will be nap time for me.Lue lisää

IPM today so I couldn't get off for anything other then gangway in the morning. It was an early sale though so it didn't really matter. It was Simira (cabin-mate) and myself on gangway and we featured on the VisitGibraltar facebook and twitter. Jackson and I also got a picture together which will be posted later.Lue lisää

A busy turn around with the office coming onboard again. I then spent the rest of the day doing paperwork and in the evening i'll be taking photos in the restaurants. Jackson was able to get off though so he's got me Burger King for dinner. Much better then the crew mess.Lue lisää

After training in the morning we are back at Kebab Mahal for lunch. We had the same thing we did last time. Chicken Biryani for Jackson and Buttered Chicken for me.
We then headed back to the ship for Jackson to start work. I decided to take some time off tonight so I’m off until 7pm. I’m currently sitting in the cruise terminal getting my phone, computer and watch all up to date.Lue lisää

One final Standing Orders lunch with Jackson. Followed by some very much needed shopping before the long trans-Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. One of the benefits of being assistant manager with our new manager Harry is he just gives me a list of things to do and doesn’t care when i do it. The only port in the middle of the crossing. Five more sea days after this before we finally arrive in St Maarten.
Today I couldn't get off because I was IPM but it was drills, crew rounds and a formal night anyways. So those who could get off hardly had any time and got soaking wet in the rain.Lue lisää

The teams first experience with a Caribbean photomania. It's definitely not like regular photomania's that they are use to. Much slower and a lot more boring. In the Caribbean everyone gets off the ship on 2 separate days. So not everyone is rushing to finalize their photos like they are use to.Lue lisää

So as usual our plans didn’t work out but it was our fault this time. We both made plans to go to the crew office to get US dollars today when they don’t do crew cash on turnaround days. So our plans of going to Boatyard didn’t work out. So we just went back to sleep and are now at Coconuts once again for burgers and wifi before Jackson starts work and my IPM starts at 1pm.Lue lisää

IPM today and we were docked with Arcadia. We did a gangway shoot today and teamed up with the Arcadia gangway team. It was a lot of fun even though we got completely soaked through and got only 13 photos. I got to see Andy who was a photographer I worked with for quite a while and meet a new one.Lue lisää

My first time and last time in Tortola. It was removed from the itinerary last Caribbean season because of the hurricane. I was excited to get off but Jackson couldn't get off with me and nobody else was going out. Today was also drills and crew rounds so there wasn't much time to get off. There's nothing right off the ship here. You have to take a taxi to a beach.Lue lisää

I love Grand Turk. Being able to walk off the ship and not having to take a taxi to the beach. Jackson and I went out and ended up running into most of the photography team plus a few others at Margaritaville. Jackson and I tried to share the nachos but it was just too big. Our final day out together. We headed to the closest beach which was Vigie beach. Definitely not the nicest beach we’ve been to but we walked down past all the chairs and had a nice spot under a massive tree all to ourselves. I rained off and on but we were wet from swimming anyways.Lue lisää

After a lot of stress I’ve made it to Grantley Adams International. I signed up to be on a crew transfer to the airport because that was only $15 US where a taxi would have cost me around $50 US. It was suppose to leave at 12:30 and at 1:30 we were still waiting for the truck for the luggage. We pointed out that my flight leaves at 4:10 and that made them panic a bit. Shortly after the truck showed up but they didn’t put my luggage in there. They put it in the van with me so I could just take it and run, not having to wait for the truck to arrive and offload the luggage. The trip to the airport is suppose to be half an hour if traffic cooperates. It took us an hour to get there. When I checked in though I learned that my flight is 40 minutes late so I get to relax in the airport for a while after all.Lue lisää
