Lake Atitlán

Stayed at Panajachel by this lake surrounded by volcanoes.
Antigua Guatemala

Lovely, quiet town with lots of colonial buildings. All decked out in purple for Lent.
Rio Dulce

Staying in a jungle lodge. Ann went for a boat ride to sit in a hot waterfall. Toby went for an early morning kayak.
Tikal

The Mayan site used in Star Wars. Sadly we did not see any ewoks but we saw turkeys and monkeys and several other birds.
Flores, Petén

Staying on a very small island on Lake Petén Itzá.
Xunantunich

Our first Mayan site in Belize. We took local bus and ferry across river (a bit like King Harry's ferry but wound by hand) and then a long, hot, sticky walk up the hill. But all worth it.
Caracol

Another day, another Mayan site. Long journey on a rough road but worth the effort.
Big Rock Waterfall

Another day, another waterfall.
Hol Chan Snorkelling

Snorkelling at the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (MBRS) off Caye Caulker in Belize. The world's second largest barrier reef, it runs from Mexico to Honduras.
Caye Caulker

Living the Caribbean life here in Belize. Go Slow. It's the law.
Bacalar

Back in Mexico. Stop for lunch.
Tulúm

A smaller Mayan site but right beside the sea.
Cenote Azul

Another chance to swim in a cenote. This time it was all open with several pools and lots of fishes wanting to nibble our feet.
Xpu Ha beach

Finished our fun-filled day with a couple of hours at the beach.
