    Belfast is Northern Ireland capital, with a population of 333,000 and stands on the banks of the river Lagan. The city was former industrial powerhouse with a troubled past. Belfast became a major linen producing centre, rope works, tobacco factory, aerated water factory, tea machinery factory, tea manufacturers and distributors, dry dock, and shipyards.
