    Stockholm

    August 15, 2019 in Sweden ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Stockholm, The capital of Sweden and home to Angies nephew Justin, and his daughter Winnie. It encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. Its land area is nearly 1/3 urban, 1/3 water and 1/3 green space.
Famous for the cobblestone streets of Old Stockholm, the 13th century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Nobel Prize museum, the origin of ABBA, with an ABBA museum, ferries and sightseeing boats, upmarket shops, restaurants, cafes, 760km of bicycle paths, outside activities in summer and cruise liners moored along quays. Winter is an ice skating bonanza.
Stockholm was granted by the European Commission the "European Green Capital" in 2010 , with large green spaces for its people. The city has adopted the objective of being fossil fuel free by 2050.
This is perhaps the most beautiful of the Scandinavian capital's because the crystalline waters that flow through the intersecting canals give a luminous appearance to the palaces, museums and parks. All of this and the added delight of spending Angela's birthday with Justin, Winnie and their extended family for a special home cooked dinner and happy birthday sang in Swedish - so much fun and enjoyment🎂🤗
