Just catching up on progress after a few days away from the computer (including a day at WOMADelaide) and enjoying your beautifully illustrated account of adventures along the river. Magnificent sunrises, trees and wildlife! Pity about all those goats though - I imagine they are mostly feral. Quite a contrast between the welcome at Nelia Gaari Station and Medindee caravan park! Traveler Yes, lots of goats. By far the most common animal, much moreso than sheep. Greg at Nelia Gaari said some are farmed and some feral. They round them up into yards by motorbike, then onto the abattoirs, then sent frozen mainly to the US.
