    Résumé de notre deuxième journée sur Long Island

    Un rapid stop à "West Meadow Beach" pour montrer à Arnaud un de mes endroits préférés de l'île, dommage que la marrée était haute.
    2ème stop: maison au bord de mer avec vu magnifique !

    La deuxième partie de la journée c'est déroulé sur le bateau de mon oncle avec visite à SoNo
    Par chance nous avons éviter l'orage américain et sommes arrivés entier à Port Jefferson !

    Second day on Long Island.

    We started with a quick stop at West Meadow Beach, it was the first time for Arnaud so he could see one of my fav' places on the island.
    Second stop: a house with an amazing view on the beach.

    We spent the second half of the day on my uncle's boat and went to visit SoNo, nice little town.
    We got back on time, at Port Jefferson, before a little storm hit us.    Read more

    Réveil difficile ce matin mais il le fallait !
    Je vous présente notre nouvelle maison, Monsieur MegaFord :)
    Après 3 heures d'explications et rangement d'affaires, nous sommes parti faire nos premières courses et mangé notre tout premier repas !
    Actuellement sur l'autoroute en direction de Hocking Hills State Park dans l'Ohio

    Waking up was difficult this morning but it was worth it !
    Let me introduce you Mister MegaFord, our new home !
    After 3 hours of explications and cleaning, we went to buy some food and ate our first meal !
    We are currently on the highway heading toward Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio

    Hier soir nous nous sommes arrêtés sur le parking d'un Supermarché "Walmart" pour y dormir (oui cela est possible aux usa ihih) et comme mentionné dans mon précédant post, nous nous trouvons maintenant au Raystown Lake, PA. C'est un endroit magnifique avec un pont suspendu dans le vide (plus ou moins à 5m de haut ! Ahah), une cascade et un rocher qui tiens en équilibre je ne sais comment ! C'était aussi l'occasion d'essayer nos super vtt!
    Après avoir fait le plein d'essence de Monsieur MegaFord et rempli nos ventre de riz et viande, nous voilà reparti sur les routes américaines à destination de Logan dans l'Ohio près du fameux Hocking Hills Park.

    Yesterday night we stoped at a Walmart supermarket parking so we could sleep (yes that's possible in the USA ihih) and, as mentioned in my previous post, we are now near Raystown Lake, PA.
    It's a beautiful forest with a suspended bridge (around 5m high ahah), a rainbow waterfall and a huge balanced rock.
    It was also the time for us to try our mountain bikes!
    After filling Mister MegaFord with gasoline and our stomach with rice and meat we are now back on the american roads driving to Logan city in Ohio, tomorrow we will finally visite the Hocking Hills Park.    Read more

    Aujourd'hui fut notre première journée avec la pluie et par conséquent nous avons reporté à demain (soleil et 25 degrés !) la visite du park !
    Vu que le soleil n'était pas avec nous, on a décidé de faire un tour dans un grand centre commercial à Lancaster près de Logan pour faire quelques achats.
    Halloween arrive à grand pas ici aux États Unis et les magasins, eux aussi, ce préparent à l'événement. On en a bien sûr profité en enfilant quelques costumes ahah !!

    Today was our first day with the rain, therefore, we've decided to do the visite of the park tomorrow as it will be sunny and warm.
    The sun was not with us today so we thought it would be better to go do some shopping in a shopping center.
    Halloween is coming soon and the stores are getting ready with all kind of scary items ! Obviously, we had to try some outfits ahah !    Read more

    Les postes suivants seront dédiés à la viste du parc national d'Hocking Hills. Nous avons pris énormément de photos je vous en poste donc une partie !

    Donc, comme annoncé la veille, nous sommes parti faire cette visite dans la forêt.
    Comment résumé cet endroit ?
    Tout d'abord il a beaucoup d'arbres (normal on est dans une foret), ensuite il y a des falaise, des rochers (avec différentes "épaisseurs"), des ponts en bois ou cailloux, des cascades, des arbres déracinés ou foudroyé et pleins d'autre chose que j'oublie sûrement.
    Le plus marquant de cet balade était, comme ils les appellent ici, les "Caves". On paraît tout petit à l'intérieur de ces gouffres mais à la fois on est émerveillé par cette nature!

    So, as I told you yesterday, today we visited this forest.
    First of all, there are a lot of trees then, there are a few cliffs, rocks with many layers, bridges made of wood or stones, waterfalls, uprooted trees and trees struck by lightning and many other thing that I probably forgot.

    Désolée pour ces deux jours de retard mais nous avons eu des problèmes de connections ihih on est toujours en vie !
    Donc, samedi soir nous avons encore roulé pas mal d'heures avant de décider de s'arrêter sur un jolie camping avec vu sur le lac d'Anita (chouette petite ville). On en a aussi profité pour faire un petit tour à vélo autour de ce lac.

    Sorry for the 2 days of absence but we had some connections problem, no worries we are still alive :)
    So, Saturday we drove a lot and decided to stop to a nice little campground near the lake.
    It was sunset time and we did some biking around the lake, it was really beautiful !    Read more

    Notre but étant d'arriver le plus vite possible dans le milieu des états unis, hier nous avons encore fait des kils et somme arrivé dans l'état du Dakota du Sud.
    Il n'y avait pas grand chose à visiter et les paysages sont pas mal monotone pour le moment (beaucoup de champs et de vaches ahah). Notre pile d'habits sales commençait à devenir grand on s'est donc arrêter dans une laverie, façon américaine, et avons lavé et séché nos habits.
    Séché, façon de dire car après 40 minutes de machine nos affaires étaient toujours mouillées et vu que la nuit arrivait et que nous avions faim (une bonne pizza de chez Pizza Hut), on a tout simplement étendu nos affaires dans le camping car :D

    Yesterday afternoon we reached South Dakota !
    Unfortunately, for now there is not much to see (except fields and cows). We had a lot of dirty clothes that needed to be washed so we went to a laundry. After 40 minutes our clothes were still wet and as the night was coming and we were hungry we just hung our clohes inside the RV and went to eat a good old Pizza Hut !    Read more

    Il est de plus en plus difficile de trouver du réseau dans ces petits villages. Actuellement, en direct du Mcdo du coin !
    Nous ne sommes qu'à quelques heures du Mount Rushmore (4h), nous y arriverons sûrement demain dans l'après-midi. Pour le moment, il est temps de laver Monsieur MegaFord tueur d'insectes et de trouver un Walmart pour la nuit.

    It's starting to be more and more difficult to find good Internet connection in these small towns.
    We are now live from the Mcdonald of the village.
    We are only 4 hours away from Mount Rushmore, we will probably be there tomorrow afternoon.
