It was a maximum 29⁰C today. The exceptionally hot summer's day for Albany and Grace's plantar fasciitis convinced us to abandon plans for a hike in place of a slow amble along York Street and a poke the shops and galleries.
Breakfast was delicious sandwiches at Bread Co Sourdough Bakery. Lunch was at Monty's Leap, a winery. Just as we were about to place the order for the Chef's Tasting Menu, the power went out. Without power, the kitchen could not operate it's electrical appliances and could not open it's fridge otherwise the contents of the fridge would have to be chucked out. Chef's menu was off the much shrunk power outage menu. We could only have bread, no butter as the fridge could not open, goats cheese as that was already out of the fridge, and salad. All complimented with a shared glass of Sunset White. Although a very tasty lunch, it was dinner at Burrata Woodfired Cafe that was the highlight of the day. The prawn entree, pizza and unusual filo pastry baked into a syrupy cake were all outstanding. We're going back there for breakfast tomorrow.
