• Devil's Den State Park

    Devil's Den State Park will always remain a special place in my heart when I think of my time in Arkansas.
    I remember as I was driving here to start my new life and saw the sign for Devil's Den, and I was intrigued. I was waiting for my life to fall together as you always do after a big move, especially to a new area where you're not familiar with anything. Depression was starting to get the best of me after being here a month.
    Lil Dude and I loaded up in KIA Dora and took off looking for an adventure. I remember the sign and decided to check it out. I stopped in the Visitor's Center, and this is when I learned about the State Park passport book. I was hooked since I already do National Park passport stamps.
    Lil Dude and I explored the Yellow Rock trail. This is when I learned many lessons of hiking as I went on the trail in flip flops and 0 water with no clue where I was going. I learned that you have to get to the park early on the weekend if you wanna hike.
    Devil's Den is also where I broke my 1st bone of the 3 in my hiking adventures. I met my best friend, Julie, and then became involved with Arkansas Sole Sisters, where we came back for sunrise hikes and fall foliage. I have experienced Devil's Den State Park in all seasons. Devil's Den has my 💙
