The Amazon (near Puerto Maldonado)

Today we travelled 45 minutes up the Rio Tambopata to the jungle lodge. Our group consists of 5 Australians in their 60s, Trevor from Malta and our guide Uriel. As we are in low season we have the whole lodge to ourselves.

A short hike from the lodge we climbed a tower, giving us 360 degree view of the Amazon at sunset.

Some of the wildlife we spotted today; Capibaras, "stinky birds", red cap cardinals, macaws, the monkey from "Friends"Baca lagi
